Top athlete, Stephen Kiprotich has vowed to complete the season on a high when he takes part in the 2017 Fukouka Marathon on 3rd next month.
Kiprotich, who is an officer at the Uganda Prisons, says that after losing his mother and personal manager, Godfrey Nuwagaba in the last three months, he had skipped some events because he was still mourning. Kiprotich says running in Fukouka will prepare him for the Tokyo marathon early next year and the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia.
The Fukuoka International Open Marathon Championship held in Fukuoka, Japan, is an International Association of Athletics Federations-IAAF Gold Label international men’s marathon race established in 1947.
The Ugandan star athlete, will tough challenge competing against last year’s winner Tsegay Yemane from Ethiopia and other runners from Eritrea and Kenya.
