The Chinese Ambassador to Uganda H.E Zheng Zhungiug has urged parents to invest in education in a bid to secure the future of their children.
The Ambassador was speaking at the handover of fifteen (15) computers worth Shs 80 million at St. Theresa Girl’s Vocational school in Ibanda in Ibanda Municipality Yesterday.
The donation was as a result of a request by Ibanda South Member of Parliament Eng. John Byabagambi.
The Ambassador revealed that the world is becoming very competitive to the extent that those who have not gone to school, will find it very challenging to survive.
Minister for Karamoja affairs who is also Member of Parliament Ibanda county south Eng. John Byabagambi urged students to put the computers to good use.
Sister Gertrude Nuwarimpa Head teacher hailed Minister and the Chinese ambassador for the donation and revealed that the school still needs more support in terms of computers and Information technology.
