A total of 5,060 residents of Ndorwa county East in Kabale district
have received free treatment in two days medical camp in Ndorwa county East.
The health camp was organized by the Rotary Clubs of Kololo and Kabale and were hosted by Ndorwa county East legislator Wilfred Niwagaba.
The two day health camp which started on Friday at Kabanyonyi Primary School in Kabale district ended yesterday and had services like Cancer screening, family planning, dental and eye treatment, HIV testing, blood donations among others were offered to the people by over 40 doctors.
The Rotary Club of Kololo President, Dr Nathan Mugisha said that the
rate at which people turned up for the services shows that the health
situation in the area is alarming and it requires urgent efforts to
Mugisha says that they decided to have a camp in the area after one of
the Rotarians identified the need for camp in the area following the
increase of eye diseases in the area and as Rotary Club, they mainly
prioritizes in health outreaches as most Ugandans cannot afford to
avail themselves good health care.
The Rotary Club of Kabale President Pascal Bizimana said that every
year, the club holds two camps in what they dubbed “Rotary family
