The government of Uganda through the ministry of health is set to embark on a campaign to distribute a total of 28 million mosquito nets.
According to Dr.Jimmy Opigo the national malaria control programs manager, a total number of 28 million mosquito nets are to be distributed in the district that was not considered in the first phase.
Dr Opigo told our reporter on Tuesday that the distribution will be conducted the districts of Mbarara, Kagadi, Bundibugyo,Sheema ,Kasese among other .
Opigo says that there is need for the locals to always put to good use the mosquito nets instead using them for fishing and rearing chicken.
The assistant District health officer Mbarara, Agatha Nshabihurira asked the locals to be patient with the ministry saying that the distribution will be conducted in February.
