Residents of Kisoro have been urged to own and take care of projects set up in their areas if they are to achieve their intended purposes.
This call was on Saturday made by the Rotary club president for Masaka are Tonny Ndawura while speaking at the commission of water project in Nyakabande sub-county, Kisoro District .
Ndawula who was officiating at the lauch of the piped water project held at God’s mercy orphanage centre inNyakabande village Nyakabande Sub County Kisoro District, revealed that the direct beneficiaries of projects should take a leading role in ensuring that they remain in good shape.
Robinah Hakiza the director of God’s mercy orphanage centre commended rotary club for the support saying that the scheme will has managed to extend safe and clean water to the villages Gahinga, Nyakabande and Bubaga that used to battle water shortages.
She add that the same project has also extended three washing facilities at the schools Gisorora,Nyakabande and Kisoro junior parents school all in nyakabande sub county.
Dr James Nsaba Buturo the Bufumbira east member of parliament who was the guest of Honor revealed that organizations such as rotary club play a vital role of supplementing the work of the government.
Nsaba Buturo revealed that water is vital to the daily activities of man adding that the donation is a great boost to the area.
