South Ankole Diocesan Bishop Rt.Rev.Nathan Ahimbisibwe has embarked on a campaign to encourage Ugandans to desist from irresponsible practices that deplete the environment.
Ahimbisibwe who mid this year started a campaign to rally locals to resurrect community work in their localities, on saturday took the campaign to Rwamabondo town council to ensure that that town which chokes on plastic waste is cleaned.
The town is littered with polythene bags mainly sachets of waragi among others.
The man of God says that the battle to put right what has gone wrong cannot be won if all Ugandans stay away and instead leave the battle to a few individuals such as environmentalists.
The Bishop is calling for responsible disposal of waste right away from homes, schools and other public institutions.
