Fallen Radio Star Laid to Rest

Hundreds of people on Friday thronged Kabengo cell in Southern division, Rukungiri municipality to bid farewell to Passy Kamusiime, the fallen voice of Kigezi presenter.

Kamusiime died on Wednesday mysteriously at Kabale Regional Referral hospital.

Addressing mourners, Eng. Ivan Batuma, the Voice of Kigezi director hailed Kamusiime for committed service during her 5 years at the station.

“She loved her job greatly. Even when she was not feeling fine, she would still show up for work,” He said.

Patrick Besigye Keihwa, the Kabale district chairperson challenged mourners to exhibit true love in their communities and places of work.

“Despite how we work or live, there is always a death assurance for everyone, this is the reason as to why we must exhibit real love in our lives,” said Keihwa.

Angellah Byamugisha, the deceased’s mother hailed Kamusiime for her caring heart towards the entire family that has seen them achieving a lot of things.

“She was all in all for our family as she used to pay fees for her siblings and provide other family needs,” said Byamugisha.

Kamusiime died at the age of 31 years. Prior to her death, she had worked on radios in Rukungiri, Kanungu and Kabale
