Ndorwa East County legislator Wilfred Niwagaba has expressed concern over the increasing cases of divorce in the country.
The legislator was today speaking during the wedding mass of Pius
Besigye and Alice Ndyomugyenyi held at Christ the King church Kabale in Kabale municipality.
The legislator revealed that the absence of faithfulness among couples has been the greatest challenge to families in the country.
Niwagaba, who is a lawyer by profession, revealed that there is big number of people who usually divorce barely two years after wedding.
Niwagaba advised couples to take the marriage institution seriously
and put God first saying that living a Christian life will help you to
follow and believe in the value of God.
Preaching during the mass, Rev. Fr. Lewis Byamukama from Kitanga
parish in Rukiga district urged Christians to live responsible lives and ensure that they are in line with the teachings of God.
