Kabale teacher murdered for stealing 4000shs


Kabale police are holding three suspects in connection to the death of Samuel Kwikiriza, a teacher at Jack and Jill Primary School in Southern division. The suspects are, Doreen Twikiriize, a businesswoman, Mary Tumworobere, and Francis Talizani, a boda boda rider; all residents of Kekubo cell, Kirigime ward Southern division in Kabale Municipality.

Kwikiriza was assaulted by a mob on 13th December, after he was suspected of stealing Shillings 4000 and a key from a fridge belonging to Twikiriize’s hotel.

The Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson, Ely Maate, says Kwikiriza breathed his last today at Kabale Regional hospital, where he had been admitted in critical condition. He explains that they picked up the suspects to help in the police investigations, adding that they will appear in court once the investigations are complete.

The case is registered at Kabale Police Station under file number CRB 3261/2017.
