Mbarara based big league side Mbarara city foot ball club on Monday released three of its players barely months after they joined the club.
Those released include defender Asuman Buyinza, midfielders Santos Hakizimana and Boniface Amani.
Santos Hakizimana and Boniface Amani are Congolese Nationals signed way back in August 2017 at the beginning of the current season. They joined from Congolese side Virunga Football club.
According to the club’s chief executive officer Sadam Mugaru, the development follows discussions with the players and their managers.
He revealed that the decision is aimed at ensuring that the club strengthens itself for the second round of the Azam premier league and also set the players free to enable them push further for their future.
