The LC3 chairperson for Central division Kabale municipality Sam Arinaitwe has expressed concern over irresponsible garbage disposal in the area.

Arinaitwe told our reporter on Saturday that locals along Corydon road have turned into a practice to always dump waste along the road and in drainage channels instead of using the gazzetted places or loading it on the garbage collection track.

The chairperson revealed that the practice has resulted into a deafening stench and attracts animals which are a distraction in the Municipality’s central business district.

He further revealed that the division has decided to slap a fine of 100,000 shillings to each of the residents found dumping waste along the road.
