The Minister of science and technology Elioda Tumwesigye has revealed that the the government is planning to construct a science technology park in Mbarara that will help science and technology students in western Uganda do their research in a modern and effective manner.
The minister was on Friday speaking at the launch of the exhibition at Bishop Stuart University.
He revealed that once in place, park will help science students to put in practice what they learn by carrying out research for future development.
Tumwesigye says that the move is one of the strategies for Uganda to achieve its goal of being the fastest growing economy in the world by the year 2025.
He went on to call upon the students aim at getting better grades if they are to compete in the global market.
