Kigezi High School Hunts for 2 Billion to Renovate Dilapidated Structures

Kigezi high school located in Kabale district is hunting for 2 billion shillings to carter for renovation of dilapidated structures.

According to the school head teacher, Stephen Mugume, the school is struggling to maintain the school facilities which have been in place for over 90 years.

Kigezi High School is one of the traditional schools in the Kigezi region and has produced some of the country’s top men.

The head teacher was this morning speaking during the commissioning of Warren House which was renovated by the old students at a cost of 15 million shillings.

The renovation works included fitting the dormitory with new beds, replacing the wardrobes, floor and fresh painting.

Former Kabale woman Member of Parliament Ronah Ritah Ninsima who was the chief guest revealed that the old students under their association Kigezi High School Old Students Association are planning grand plan to have all the facilities at the school given a face lift.

She asked the beneficiaries to protect the facilities at the school by guarding them jealously so that they benefit generations.
