Shadow attorney general Wilfred Niwagaba who also doubles as the Ndorwa County East legislator has revealed that the sacking of Kake Karekyezi Kayihura as the inspector General of Police was long overdue.
Speaking to the media at Parliament on Tuesday evening, the legislator revealed that the former inspector general of police failed in his duties and resorted the bigger part of his time in office trying to suffocate politicians who worked hard to voice the concerns of Ugandans.
The legislator adds that it was the reason why murder with in and around Kampala took centre stage and the police was unable to apprehend those behind them.
Niwagaba says that gruesome murders around the Kampala Metropolitan area and widespread human rights violations were a clear indication that Kayihura had lost track and deemed him unfit for the position of inspector general of police.
