Transport and business in Muhanga town council in Rukiga district was today afternon brought to a stand still as floods triggered by heavy rains hit the area.
The down pour saw several shop submerged in water as residents and business community rushed to save their mechandise.
The floods destroyed bags of beans, sorghum, furniture among others items.
The floods also affected Muhanga Golden primary school, a private school in the area.
Eudia Mutabazi the area town clerk told our reporter that they had dispatched equipment to open blocked channels.
