British Tourist Dies in Kabale

A British national has today died while touring communities in Kabale district.


60 years old Mukesh Shukla suddenly died on his way to Kabale hospital where he was being rushed after he collapsed as they were heading to tour Butanda pygmies settlement in the area.

The deceased together with three others namely; Tejal Raval, Nishma Raval and Kalvinder Barad had checked in at Bunyonyi resort along lake Bunyonyi on 06/04/18 from Ishasha in Kanungu.

According to Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate, the group this afternoon decided to tour the pygmies settlement area in Butanda sub county Kabale district and at a hill on their way, they realized that Shukla had collapsed from behind.

They tried to rush him to the hospital but unfortunately, died on the way.

Maate says that the deceased’s body was later on transported to Kabale regional referal hospital for a post mortem..
