President Yoweri Museveni and the visiting Former president of Zanzibar Abeid Karume have underscored the need for African leaders to share experiences on addressing conflict.
This comes at a time some parts of the continent like DRC, South Sudan and others experience continuous conflicts which have left several people displaced.
Announcing the global peace leadership conference schuedled for August, during a joint press conference held at Statehouse Entebbe on Thursday, President Museveni said, it was critical for leaders to come together and analyse factors which could be contributing to instability in their countries
He revealed that through sharing, leaders would be able to come up with comprehensive solutions on addressing conflict
His position was supported by the visiting former president Karume.
The two leaders launched the conference’s mobile App and website ahead of the Conference is scheduled for 1-2 August 2018 in Kampala.
