Kabale Woman Mp Urges Ugandans to Embrace Vocational Skills

The Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament Hon Catherine Atwakire Ndamira has encouraged people to always implement skills acquired from any workshop.

The legislator’s call was contained in her message that was read by her Secretary Brian Mushabe Yesterday as he president over the closure of a one day sensitization meeting to empower teenage mothers and those with tenaage pregnancies, held at Kigezi private Sector in Kabale Municipality which was organized by the Kigezi Initiative project.

The legislator said that some members of the community acquire knowledge from different workshops which they attend, but they fail to implement them yet they could be helping them to earn a living. The legislator donated soaps to over 25 participants.

The Director of Kigezi Initiative project, Gad Otahinduka, said that he is intended to motivate those who gave birth at teenage age by acquiring different skills like candle making, jellies, and shoe polish which can help them to start up their own projects
