Rwandan National Stoned to Death in Bar Fight

A Rwandan National was last night stoned to death following a bar fight that in Maziba sub county of Kabale district

The deceased identified as Charles Somalia is a resident of Rugoma village, Nyagatare district in Rwanda.

The incident took place on Monday night at around 7:00PM at Omukareere market in Mukochi village, Kahondo parish Maziba Sub County, Kabale district.

It’s alleged that Somalia was lynched after he developed a fight with a group of yet to be identified Ugandan locals while a bar owned by one Maliza in Omukareere market at Mukochi a border point between Uganda and Rwanda.

The deceased was reportedly over poured and stoned to death a few meters away from the bar where they were drinking from.
Kigezi Regional police spokesperson Elly Maate says that deceased’s body has been taken to Kabale regional referral hospital for post mortem.

He further reveals that the hunt for the suspects is on. The case is registered under file number SD 102/11/06/2018 of Kabale police station
