Rev.Fr.Gaetano Batanyenda the Kitanga parish priest in Kabale Diocese has revealed that it is unfortunate that legislators in Uganda have decided to abandon their electorates and fronted selfish motives.
Gaetano who was on Thursday evening reacting to plans by a section of legislators to re-table a bill that seeks to extend their term of office by 2 years from five to seven.
He says that the legislators who are greedy have treated the court ruling that disallowed that extention of their term of office as aimed to hurt saying this must stop.
Batanyenda told journalists at his office in Kitanga –Kashambya Rukiga district that Ugandan leaders must wake up and address issues hurting the electorate.
The man of God goes ahead to accuse the legislators of failing to relieve Ugandans of the heavy tax burden and instead making it very tough for them.
