Students Start UCE Exams

Students across Uganda have today started their Uganda Certificate of Education.
According to the executive Secretary of Uganda examination board, Dan
Odongo, out of the 336,740 students slated to sit, 166,756 are
females, while 169,984 are male.

He says exams are to be sat from
3,658 centers across the country with 470 storage rooms.

The students will start with physics practical in the morning and IPS still art
life/nature in the evening.

Speaking to our reporter last evening ahead of the exams, the Kabale
district Woman Member of Parliament, Catherine Ndamira Atwakiire,
commended all education stakeholders for the role they played in
ensuring that the students can reach at the time of sitting for their
O-level exams.

The legislator also warned the candidates and teachers against engaging in examination malpractice, saying that the vice can lead to serious consequences on both the candidates and the schools.
