Two RPF Soldiers Arrested in Rukiga District

Two soldiers of Rwanda Defense forces have been arrested in Rukiga district.

The two were arrested in Kasheky parish in Kamwezi sub county –Rukiga district and are residents of Tabarwe in Nyagatare District, Rwanda.

They were in the company of one Silva Muhwezi a Ugandan and a resident of Kamwezi sub county and had reportedly disguised themselves as civilians who had just crossed to attend a baptism party at Muhwezi’s home.
The however reportedly decided to go to a different place and attended a church service at Rwamatumguru Catholic Church before they were arrested by a team of Uganda people’s defense forces.

Rwandan police have however revealed that those arrested were locals who had just entered Uganda to attend a party and claim that they were abducted by Uganda’s chief of military intelligence operatives and held incommunicado.

The Rwanda police also indicates different names and identified those arrested as Samvura Pierre (47) and Habiyaremye Eric (25).
