Priests Asked to Spearhead Fight Against Corruption

By Derrick Kateeba

The chancellor of Kabale Diocese Rev Fr Lucian Twinamatsiko has asked priests in Uganda to stand firm and publically condemn vices of corruption, robbery, devil-worshiping and alcoholism in Uganda.

Preaching during the Ordination Mass of Rev Fr Conrad Atuhaire at St Kizito Maziba Catholic Parish in Kabale diocese Kabale district on Saturday, Fr Twinamatsiko noted that such vices are increasing in the country and have affected the development of the church and the country in general.

Speaking as the guest of honor, the Ndorwa East Member of Parliament Wilfred Niwagaba asked priests to use their positions in the church to sensitize Christians on the need to conserve the environment to address the issue of climatic change and its negative outcomes like famine and poverty.
