A couple in Kanyankwazi cell, Nyakagyera parish Kyanamira Sub County Kabale district is stranded after their 13-year-old son went missing on Friday 11th last week.

The missing child has been identified as Samson Nyamugasira a P6 pupil at Premier School Kabale in Kabura Trading Center Muyumbu parish Kyanamira Sub County Kabale district.

Nyamugasira is a son to Sam Betunga and Charity Betunga residents of Kanyankwazi cell, Nyakagyera parish Kyanamira Sub County Kabale district.

According to Betunga, her son went missing on Friday when he left home for School and never returned back. Betunga added that after waiting for the child to return in vain, she called the school’s head teacher Bless Owoyesigire to inquire on the where about of the child but was informed by the head teacher that the child did not report to school on the very fateful day.

Betunga says she later on the following day Saturday reported a case of a missing person at Kabale police station under file reference number CD-REF44/12/10/2019. She appeals to everyone who could have any information concerning the whereabouts of her son to volunteer it to the family members to help them trace their son.

The school’s head teacher Owoyesigire says that Nyamugasira was a known absentee at the school and on the fateful day, he never reported to school which easily made the school administration to believe that he was absent as usual.
However, the school’s director Andrew Twongyeirwe who described Nyamugasira’s missing as unfortunate, says they are trying to engage the pupils at the school as well as their parents and the general public to help in identifying the whereabouts of Nyamugasira.
