Rwandan, Congolese and Burundi Nationals arrested in Uganda.

Twenty eight suspected Rwandan, Congolese and Burundi Nationals have been
arrested in Kabale town over illegal entry into Uganda.

Among the arrested, are four women and 24 men who were allegedly travelling
to Kampala by a DR Congo SR CLASSIC Bus, registration number GGO 5461AE/1.

The Kabale district Police Commander Brain Ampaire said that the suspects
were arrested last night after a tip off from a concerned resident in
Kisoro which forced Police in Kabale to mount a road block adjacent to
Kabale police station in Kabale town thus the arrest.

Ampaire says the 28 were apprehended after they failed to present any
identification and travel document adding that the suspects could have
entered Uganda through Chanika porous border.

By press time, the suspects were still detained at Kabale Police station
pending screening to find out their clear origins and other essential
details. Ampaire noted that after the screening, the suspects shall be
arraigned before court to answer the charges accordingly as others face
