Police in Kabale has arrested nine people after others took off when they were found illegally gathered praying in the home of one Ahimbisibwe Judith of Rusambya cell Upper Bugongi ward in Northern division of Kabale municipality.
They are; Pastor Festo Kasoka of revival tabernacle church Bugongi who was leading the prayers, Mercy Kobusingye , Rossette Kyarimpa ,Claire Owomugisha ,Patience Kobusingye,Peace Tukahirwa, Charity Kembabazi and Pretty Ahumuza all if the above address.
Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate says that they were arrested on intelligence information today Sunday at around midday.
Maate says that the suspects will be charged with disobeying lawful orders such as failing to adhere to presidential directives and ministry of health guidelines in relation to the Corona Virus Pandemic.
The suspects are being held at Kabale central police station under reference SD 22/29/3/2020 of Kabale police station.
