Rubindi Councilor Asks Leaders to Desist from Campaigning During the Lock down

Mbarara district secretary for finance  Bazil Bataringaya Rwankwene has called on fellow politicians to avoid campaigning during lockdown.

 President Yoweri banned public gathering as one way to stop the spread of COVID-19 to the population,

Speaking to our reporter, Bazil Bataringaya who also doubles as the LC Vcouncilor representing Rubindi Sub County today morning told our reporter that some politicians have started combing villages and dishing out money to the voters and in turn causing mass gatherings of locals.

 Bataringaya says that the actions will put the locals at risk and in turn result in the spread of the disease.

He   appealed to voters to always vote visionary leaders that will develop their irrespective areas.

 He also called for harmonious campaigns and respect for one another.
