Teams from the Ministry of Health led by the Permanent Secretary, Dr Diana Atwine met with the Archbishop of Uganda, His Grace Dr Stephen Kazimba to discuss COVID, Malaria and key health issues.
His Grace alluded that his theme of “conversion of the head, heart and mind” fits the health sector message of getting households and individuals to take responsibility for their health.
Dr. Diana Atwine appreciated the Church of Uganda through the Archbishop for the key role they play in advocating for good health which is key to development of the country.
“It is important for the population to know that they have a role to play in the development of the nation” she added.
Dr.Atwine further lauded the Archbishop of sharing words of wisdom and calling upon the public to practice good health behavior through his sermons. “Thank you for standing firm and speaking out on issues of health. They bring value to humanity and contribute to the wellbeing of the people” she said.
