Rwampara police searching for missing child

Police in the southwestern district of Rwampara are searching for a child who reportedly went missing on the 21st of February 2021.

The one and a half years old child identified as Leviticus Akatujuna went missing from his home in Rwamuhurura village in Kamomo parish, Bugamba sub county as he was playing in the yard.

The mother identified as Katusiime Monica was at the time of the incident in the kitchen preparing lunch for the family members who had gone for a church service.

The mother from kitchen could not trace for the child anywhere, searched in the neighborhoods but nobody had knowledge about his whereabouts.

The family continued with the search in the whole village until the 22nd of February 2021 when the Father one Ivan  Besigye (28) reported the matter to Bugamba police station.

Rwizi regional police spokesperson Samson Kasasira says that the police led by Patrick Opiyo with detectives visited the scene, conducted searches around the villages but nothing of evidential value was recovered.

He adds that the home of the missing child is on the roadside and the possibility of the child moving to the road and wrong people picking him can be possible.
