A mother of two children who survived an arson attack recently has come out to solicit support from the public.

Currently admitted at Lira Regional Referral hospital, Sarah Atyang says that she can no longer meet the costs of treatment.

On the fateful evening of 20th February 2021, unknown assailants torched her grass thatched house.

Her two children Pauline Acheng, six years and Immaculate Agweng were all asleep in the house when the incident happened around 7pm local time in Bar-orwee local council one, Baroganda parish, Agweng Sub County in Lira district.

With the help of her neighbors she managed to rescue her two daughters but they had already sustained serious burns.

Although the children are receiving treatment from a government facility, Atyang   says that there are some essential drugs  that she has to buy from pharmacies in Lira City but she is currently financially constrained.

She is appealing to well-wishers to support her with money to procure the drugs in question.
