Ndorwa East Students Association to spread across the country

The Students that hail from Ndorwa East Constituency, under their association Ndorwa East Students Association – NDESA are set to mobilize all students across the country to continue fostering their contribution towards community development.

The decision to roll out to the rest of the country was taken on Sunday 25th at the handover ceremony of the new leadership for Makerere University chapter.

Speaking as the chief guest at the function, Alexander Kyokwijuka a former association’s chairperson who is also a Business and Finance author and a known Business Consultant in Kampala urged the students to be committed to the studies and also to create valuable networks that will enable them in life after school.

Kyokwijuka commonly known as the humble citizen from Kigarama also shared his education journey with the students in attendance and assured them that they are the force that will transform the communities.

 He promised to help and support them to mobilize all other students across the country and also to help formalize the association at the grassroots level so their impact can be felt by the people back home.

He further encouraged the young people to think about starting some small businesses as they study and promised to offer each student that enters Makerere from Ndorwa East, a free copy of his book “Personal Finance Mastery” _A simple guide on how to manage your money_ and “How to start a business in 10 days” to help empower the students as they pursue their studies.  

Others in attendance were Dedan Mutatinensi (Former chairman of the association in 2010/11), Agatha Aharimpisya   also former Chairperson (2013/15), among others who promised to keep supporting the association, and encouraged the students to always reach out for support.

Denis Twinomuhangi, a Second-year student of Education was sworn in as Chairman of the Association, taking over from Mr. Asaasira Brian, who had served the Association for over 4 years.
