Kigezi Home Boyz Coach Fired

Mark Twinamatsiko, the head coach of Kabale-based Kigezi Home Boyz football club has been sacked over poor results.

Twinamatsiko was unveiled by the club in October 2020 on a three-year contract dead replacing Vialli Bainomugisha who had also been sacked. However, in a statement dated 06th May 2021 signed by the Club Chief Executive Officer, Brian Akankwasa, and released today morning by the Club’s  Communications Officer, Timothy Tuhumwire, Twinamastiko’s contract was terminated with immediate effect.

According to the statement, Denis Tushabe , the academy coach has been assigned to tentatively take charge of the first-team duties as the head coach. ” The management of Kigezi HomeBoyz Football Club (KHB FC) and the club Mr. Mark Twinamatsiko have on Thursday, May 06, 2021, agreed by mutual consent to end his employment with the club with immediate effect.”

“The club recognizes his contribution towards the growth and development of KHB FC and wishes him well in his future endeavors.” reads the statement.

By the time of his sacking, Twinamatsiko had coached seven games in the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) Big League and won only one, lost two, and drew four. He had and also coached three games of Stanbic Uganda Cup where he lost two and won only one.
