Twongirwe Fausta a resident of Kafunjo cell, Marumba village, Southern division, Rukungiri municipality is calling for help from well-wishers to enable her foot the medical bills of for her 4-year-old daughter whose bones have failed to support her body leaving her in a vegetative state.
Twongyeirwe a single mother of four was abandoned by her husband two years after the struggle to take care of their daughter started taking toll on the family’s finances.
She has not yet sought any medical attention for the child, who is suffering with the strange illness that has taken a drastic toll on her health.
Twongyeirwe says her Devine Amutuheire was born a healthy, beautiful, girl, but at two years a strange illness weakened her bones and she could not no longer support herself.
Twongyeirwe now waits for a well-wisher to lend a helping hand, as the little money she gets is spent on providing food for the family of four.
Twongyeirwe now rents a one room house, for which she struggles, to pay rent on monthly basis since her earnings as casual laborer are far below her expenses.
She is now calling upon the government, church leaders and members of the public to contribute towards the treatment of her daughter.
