Police in Rubanda is hunting for unknown people to have raped, killed a 66 year old woman that was found dead private parts shattered.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region Police spokesperson indentified the deceased as Florence Tumusiime a resident of Nyarurambi Cell Ikamiro Parish Muko sub county Rubanda District.
The incident was reported at Muko Police Station by Milton Byarugaba 57 years the old chairperson of the same address.
Maate says that the unknown person(s) left the body in the garden of beans of Kamusiime near the church of Kabaya Catholic Centre at unknown time in the night of 08/04/2021.
It’s alleged that the deceased was lastly seen at Nfasha trading centre last evening, but surprisingly was found dead on her way home.
Police visited the scene and took the body for postmortem which established that there was a likelihood that could have been raped, thereafter fixed a sharp object into her private parts which was shattered and blood was furiously oozing from it and her head had multiple injuries.
Inquiries underway and efforts to establish those involved are being made so that are charged accordingly.
The case of murder has been registered at Rubanda Police station under reference number CRB 200/2021
