NBS’s Sheila Nakabuye dead

Sheillah Nakabuye the NBS television bureau chief for southwestern region has died a day after delivering a baby girl.

Nakabuye was pronounced dead today at Mbarara regional referral hospital where she has been in a coma since Sunday morning when she was rushed there.

Nakabuye was according to close friends and relatives operated at a clinic in Rwebikona a Mbarara suburb on Saturday and later rushed to Mbarara referral for further management at around 8:00am on Sunday.

Mbarara regional referral hospital director Dr. Celestine Barigye says that the deceased was operated was operated in a clinic somewhere in Rwebikoona a Mbarara suburb and the health workers there could have realized that she was dying and rushed her to Mbarara referral hospital when she was almost dead.

Barigye says that Nakabuye died a few hours after arrival and after a CT scan, it was found out that the cause of death was brain aneurysm which is the swelling of Brain vessels.

Perezi Rumanzi a friend to the deceased described her as a friendly and committed journalist who had passion for the less privileged people and focused of bringing to light the stories surrounding their welfare.
