The overseer of Lift up Jesus Global Ministries,Bishop Aloysious Kiiza has called on Christians to supplement the government efforts in fighting COVID-19 by adhering to the guidelines issued by the president.
Bishop Kiiza revealed that the biggest challenge is that thousands of Ugandans have decided to shun and disregard the directives set by the president and the ministry of health which he says may lead to disastrous consequences.
The man of God who was on Wednesday evening addressing the media that River Side Resort Hotel in Kabale municipality revealed that unless the guidelines are adhered to, the pandemic will spread further and faster and may claim hundreds of Ugandans in addition to crippling the economy and other services.
He further called on the Christians to use the lockdown to reconcile with others and also renew their relationship with God.
Kiiza added that prayer works and is very vita challenging Christians to pray without giving up so that God can liberate the country from the pandemic.
