Maj Gen Paul Lokech, the Deputy Inspector General of Police is dead.
A senior military officer confirmed Lokech’s death and said that Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga, would issue a confirmation statement soon. “He is dead, but Enanga will issue a statement detailing his death,” a senior military officer said.
”UPDF fraternity regrets to announce the passing on of the Deputy Inspector General of Police Maj Gen Paul Lokech. May His Soul Rest In Eternal Peace,” the Forces wrote on Twitter.
Maj Gen Lokech was appointed deputy IGP in December last year replacing Maj Gen Sabiiti Stephen Muzeeyi. The two-star General is remembered as one of the fearless military officers that flashed Al-Shabaab militias in key places in Somalia.
