Police in Kabale district are investigating circumstances under which a male adult was murdered and his private parts taken away.
The Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate says that the yet to be identified man was murdered by unknown people and dumped in a river in Nyamurindira villahe,Muyebe parish of Buhara sub county.
Maate further revealed that the police was tipped off by the area village chairperson Godfre Karani after finding the body floating on the river.
He further revealed that the deceased had a deep cut below the ear and the private parts had also been cut off.
He adds that the deceased’s body has been taken to Kabale regional referral hospital for a postmortem and called on people whose relatives are missing to visit the mortuary for identifying the body.
