Police in Kanungu is investigating circumstances under which a woman in Kanungu was murdered by her husband.
The deceased has been identified as Judith Kansiime (34) a resident of Kayenje village in Mashaku Parish of Nyamirama sub-county in Kanungu district.
The deceased was reportedly killed yesterday by her husband identified as Nelson Byamukama (38) using a panga after a shot disagreement.
Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate says that preliminary reports indicate that the suspect picked a panga and hacked his wife after a domestic flight.
He further revealed that it has been found out that the two have for long been having misunderstandings
He adds that the matter is being investigated by police while the body was handed over to the family for burial.
