Two people have been killed and several others injured in an explosion on a bus belonging to swift Safaris.
The bus had left Kampala and was destined for Bushenyi but a blast suspected to be a bomb cut short the journey.
The incident involved bus registration number UAU and the incident took place at Kavule along Masaka Road.
An eye witness told apearlnews.com that shortly after the blast, passengers struggled to go through the windows while the bus driver also struggled and managed to pack it on the roadside.
Also on board was the acting regional police commander for the greater Bushenyi area Adrian Kwetegyereza.
Fred Enanga the Uganda police spokesperson has confirmed the incident saying that the police are actively investigating the matter.
