Minister Bahati flags off the distribution of NRM bicycles in Kabale

The state minister for Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives David Bahati on Saturday commissioned the distribution of 807 bicycles donated by president Museveni to the National Resistance movement village Chairpersons and parish chairperson in Kabale district.

While handing over bicycles in Kabale main stadium to sub-county chairpersons to distribute bicycles to National Resistance movement village Chairpersons and parish chairperson, Mister Bahati said that they decided to give out bicycles to help NRM parish and village chairpersons in monitoring government programs as well as keeping vigilant against security reaching out people to embrace government programs.

Among the bicycles commissioned, 728 were distributed to village chairpersons and 79 parish chairpersons.

Bahati commended President Museveni for fulfilling his pledge of distributing bicycles to the National Resistance movement village Chairpersons and parish chairpersons.

He appealed to all beneficiaries to use the bicycles for mobilization for social-economic transformation by beginning with mobilizing people to go for vaccination, about wealth creation, and being vigilant on government programs and security issues.

He also commended the secretariat secretary-general led by Richard Odong for the logistics put in place towards delivering bicycles.

Minister Bahati also revealed plans of setting up a sub electricity power station to curb load shedding in the Kigezi sub-region.

He further said that the ministry of energy is soon visiting the Kigezi sub-region to identify the place where to construct the sub-power station, stressing that money for the whole process is already secured.
