Police in Rukungiri are hunting for a 40-year-old woman who chopped off her husband’s private parts due to the fact that he married a second wife.
According to Elly Maate, Kigezi Region police spokesperson the suspect Milly Kobusingye is 40 year resident of Bikurungu town cell, Central Ward, Bikurungu town council in Rukungiri district.
The victim has been identified as Benon Tugumisiriza 45 year businessman in Rukungiri town council. It’s alleged that as the victim was sleeping the suspect (wife to the suspect) decided to cut the private part (Penis) of the husband and took off to an unknown destination.
After the incident, Tugumisirize entered his car and drove himself up to Nyakibale hospital where he is currently getting treatment from.
Maate revealed that the crime scene was visited by the area police of Bikurungu upon receiving information, an exhibit of a knife with blood stains was recovered in the bedroom of couples.
According to information on the ground, the couples have been having domestic violence for quite some time in relation to the victim marrying a second wife
The case of attempted murder has been registered at Bikurungu police post under reference number SD REF 07/10/11/2021
