Ntungamo Chief administrative officer Nasser Mukiibi called on civil servants and leaders in the district to work together to save the environment.
Mukiibi who was on Monday speaking during the district’s technical planning committee meeting held at the district council hall.
Mukiibi expressed concern that the natural resources in the district continue to be depleted and that this cannot only be handled by the responsible officers but instead requires the efforts of all residents.
Mukiibi asked the sub-county chiefs and town clerks to ensure that they plant trees in open spaces in their respective stations and also ensure that swamps and other Natural resources are protected.
