The Archbishop of the church of Uganda Henry Kazimba Mugalu has called on the government of Uganda to take deliberate efforts in addressing the challenge of street kids in his end-of-year message delivered today in Kampala.

Kazimba revealed that the streets of Kampala are littered with hundreds of children begging for money and food an issue he says is challenging and requires urgent attention.

Kazimba further asked the government to ensure that the school children who have spent over 2 years at their homes due to the lockdown be counseled and helped to get back on their feet.

He revealed that the children have faced serious challenges such as being raped while others were enticed by selfish people trying to fulfill their selfish desires.

Kazimba also called for forgiveness among Ugandans ahead of the new year.
