South Ankole Diocese marks 10 years

South Ankole diocese on Sunday marked 10 years since its separation from the Ankole Diocese and the consecration and enthronement of the Rt. Rev. Nathan Ahimbisibwe as the first Bishop.

Uganda’s Church’s Archbishop, The main celebrant, Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, lauded Bishop Ahimbisibwe and the South Ankole Diocese leadership for their contributions to social-economic empowerment and household transformation.

Bishop Nathan Ahimbisibwe expressed gratitude to God for using him to preach the gospel and transform the lives of those under his pastoral care.

According to Ahimbisibwe, the clergy in the South Ankole Diocese have preached the gospel of Jesus Christ in all ways that honor God over the last ten years, and many people have come to know the Lord.

He revealed that the diocese has increased income-generating projects aimed at eradicating poverty.
