Vipers spew Kigezi Home Boyz out of  Stanbic Uganda Cup

The impetus of Vipers sports club in the ongoing Stanbic Uganda Cup has gained after ejecting Kigezi Home Boyz Football Club with a 1-0 goal to jump from a round of 64 to 32.

The game was one of the remaining matches that were never played at this stage because the players of the respective clubs were engaged in national team duties abroad.  The game was played today afternoon at Kabale Main Stadium in Kabale district.

The game ended 0-0 in the first half. However, Yunus Sentamu scored for Vipers sports club in the 83rd minute after defenders of Kigezi Home Boyz FC failed to clear the ball from the corner. 

Speaking to our reporter after the game, Vipers sports club Head coach, Roberto Oliveria says that however much his players managed to win, it was a struggle due to fatigue resulting from the long-distance they traveled.

Kigezi Home Boyz FC head coach, Denis Tushabe alias KAPI says that the team has lost because players missed many chances of scoring into the net.    Vipers will play Kalongo United at the round of 32 on Saturday.
