Minister Kaboyo asks Ugandans not to politicise goverment programs

The Minister of State for Luwero Triangle-Rwenzori Region, Alice Kaboyo, has called upon the public to remove politics from government programs if they are to benefit from them.

The minister revealed this yesterday at the commissioning of Nyamweru Seed Secondary School in Nyamweru sub-county, Rubanda District.

Alice Promise promised to extend its challenges to the concerned people in the ministry.

She urged the public to use their leaders to help develop their community and to plant trees and crops around the school compound if they want to benefit from the school.

Kaboyo wondered why the residents would get divided over politics, leaving the community underdeveloped.

Kaboyo called upon students, teachers, and the community to take care of the school.

The Residents District Commissioner, Mr. Peter Rwakifari Kibondo, thanked the NRM government and the Education Minister for working tirelessly to have Nyamweru seed secondary constructed.

He called upon the community to maintain the school, which was commissioned, and to see a change in academic performance.

The chairperson, Lc5 Ampeire Steven Kasyaba, pledged to have the school perimeter fence constructed.

He called upon parents to use the school and applauded the Bishop of the Kigezi Diocese, George Bagamuhunda, for freely giving out the land for the seed school.

He, however, showed a lot of concern about the public not appreciating the role played by Hon Min Henry Ariganyira Musasizi toward the seed school.

He called on the public to desist from politics or else they would become stuck.

The Headmaster of Nyamweru Seed Secondary School, Mr. Medard Turanyomwe, applauded the former Lc5 Chairperson, Hon. Jogo Kenneth Biryabarema, and his leadership for the fight to have Nyamweru Seed Secondary School, which was to be constructed in Ruhija sub-county.

Medard called upon the government to intervene and have electricity installed in classrooms and staff rooms and work on the drainage system.

He thanked the Bishop of the Kigezi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Eng. George Bagamunda for giving them a piece of land where the seed school was constructed.
