I will expose and shame you over radios and televisions, Min Kasolo to Emyooga defaulters.

The Minister of State microfinance and small enterprises Haruna Kyeyune Kasolo has revealed that Emyooga defaulters will be exposed over the radio and televisions as a strategy of reviving funds in the groups.

Hon minister was on thursday speaking while addressing the leaders, Emyooga leaders and beneficiaries while monitoring the progress of the Emyooga Program in Rukiga district and Ndorwa East of Kabale district.

In Rukiga function was held at Rwamucucu sub county headquarters grounds and in Ndorwa East constituency the function was held at Kyanamira sub county headquarters Kabale district.

He noted that as a means of reminding the defaulters of Emyooga he will ensure that they will be exposed over the radios and powerful televisions. He said that he will present a list of defaulters to radio stations, newspapers, places of worship; Public places, notice boards, websites, billboards and televisions so that every presenter before starting a program read names to the public.

Kyeyune stressed that Ugandan’s have developed an appetite for consuming everything that comes from the Government which has become a bad habit that is always aimed at eradicating poverty. He said people spend the money in useless thing’s like alcohol, prostitution among others which has made Ugandan’s remain in poverty.

He added that if this method fails he will use many tactics to make sure that funds are brought back Sacco’s so that other member’s also take it.

He said that president Museveni’s aim of eradicating poverty is not being fulfilled because Emyooga defaulters and he won’t allow it.

The Hon Minister tasked the Commercial officers to present the list of defaulters within three days which will help in identifying defaulters. He said these lists will be handed over to radio stations and televisions.

At Kyanamira sub county headquarters hon minister was joined by the state minister of trade, industry and cooperatives David Bahati, Ndorwa East member of parliament Wilfred Niwagaba, Kabale district woman Member of Parliament Catherine Atwakire Ndamira, Kabale district Youth Chairperson Taremwa Tadeo among others.
