The Rubanda West County Member of Parliament, Moses Kamuntu Mwongyera, has launched the distribution of hoes to over 35,960 households in the constituency.
Launching the exercise of distributing the hoes at Kishanje Catholic parish grounds on Sunday, Kamuntu said that he has so far secured 50,000 hoes, which has cost him over 500 million shillings, and the hoes were processed from iron ore, which he transports abroad for processing several materials.
He added that the donation is part of the promises he made during the general election campaign to ensure that each household gets a hoe.
Kamuntu said that this will be a continuous project until he reaches out to every household, asking the beneficiaries not to sell the hoes, but instead use them to improve agriculture in their respective families.
