As the world is preparing for Easter, the overseer of Lift Up Jesus Global Ministries, Bishop Aloysius Kiiza, has called upon political and religious leaders to preach a message of reconciliation and condemn religious sectarianism among Christians.

Speaking at the press conference held at Riverside Hotel in Nyabikoni cell, Central Division Kabale Municipality on Wednesday, Bishop Aloysius Kiiza said Easter is a message of love and reconciliation for humanity.

He stressed out how the world has become full of religious sectarianism, racism, and tribalism, which have resulted in a shade of blood.

He called upon Christians to use this Easter to forgive and forget those who have wronged them.

Kiiza also expressed concern about the large number of refugees fleeing the fighting between the rebel group and the government in Kisoro District.

He called upon the states to put God first in whatever they are doing if they are to end this alarming situation.

He played for not having religious sectarianism, which was the case of the day in Amin’s and Obote’s regimes, brought back into today’s government.
